For the second year in a row, award-winning documentary filmmaker Mike Downie will be joining us to talk about the power of reconciliation.
Mike and his brother Gord Downie (former lead singer of the Tragically Hip) started the Secret Path project to tell the story of Chanie Wenjack, an Anishinaabe boy who tragically died after attempting to flee his residential school.
At this year’s event, Mike will host a panel discussion with:
JUNO award-winning musician William Prince
Chef, social advocate and Indigenous advisor, Billy Alexander
Associate Vice President Indigenous Engagement at the University of Regina, Lori Campbell
Each guest brings a unique perspective to share about their culture and what we can do to improve relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. The discussion will provide an opportunity for clients and guests of IG Wealth Management to thoughtfully consider what reconciliACTION looks like for them.
